Oil firm eyes Sandoval County exploration project
Sandoval Economic Alliance backs SandRidge plan for an exploratory oil well west of the city with a state drilling permit already issued. Officials say the project would have low environmental impact and no refinery is planned, noting Sandoval County could become Rio Rancho in the future. The alliance emphasizes connecting the company with local contacts and praises SandRidge as a large producer expanding in other states.
