Tres Amigas plans a regional power grid hub in Clovis and a dual center in Rio Rancho to back up its Santa Fe base. The move aims to link the three large U.S. grids to boost renewable power flow and create 75 to 100 high paying Albuquerque jobs plus a 15 000 to 20 000 square foot Rio Rancho facility with a backup control room and training space. The company expects to sign a lease in three months and move in by August.
