Quilts Displayed by Six Placitas Crafters at Library

New Deal artwork exhibit at Loma Colorado Main Library

A major collection of New Mexico public art from 1933 to 1943 is on display through March 31 at Loma Colorado Main Library. The show features Works Progress Administration commissions from towns statewide and includes Dorothea Lange photographs. Coronado Historic Site also announces a new exhibit.

Best of quilting on display at Thimbleweeds outdoor show

Thimbleweeds Quilters Guild of Rio Rancho hosts an outdoor quilt show at Veterans Monument Park on Sunday April 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. The event features about 200 quilts by local members, live music, light refreshments for a small charge, and vendors selling fabrics and crafts. Several quilters have won awards at state and city shows, with some displays in Santa Fe. The show is noncompetitive and aims to celebrate art in a scenic park setting.

Park in the Park Car Show Heats Rio Rancho

The City of Rio Rancho Parks Department hosts the 5th annual Park in the Park Car Show at Cabezon Park on Saturday April 25 from 10 am to 3 pm. More than 300 cars from all makes and models 1982 and older will be on display with music raffles food vendors arts and crafts.
