Rio Rancho Civic Day Carnival Brings Games Music and Pizza

A day long Rio Rancho Civic Day features a Battle of the Living Planets game by Helmut Kimpel, Aztec Dancers, Teen Battle of the Band with Cibola High and Lincoln Middle, and performances by Lincoln Swing Choir and Brazada. Karate demos, a pizza eating contest with six local pizzerias, and a raffle with trips to Las Vegas highlight the afternoon. Southwest Travel provides the grand prize. tickets cost $1. Minor invites booths and volunteers, noting community pride and wide appeal.
