Former Rio Kamicho bignore baseball star Sal Puentes and softball player Kristin Griego, AAHS Class of 2002, honored as the school hosts an eight team baseball and 32 team softball tournament Thursday through Saturday. Griego died after a diabetic seizure in 2003, Puentes in a 2007 car crash. Host Rams open vs Clovis Thursday with later games against Goddard and St. Pius X, then proceed through a packed schedule at Rio Rancho and Cleveland high schools with semifinals Friday and finals Saturday on Eagle Ridge fields.
