SummerWorks opens for 150 youth across four counties

Beginning April 1 Workforce Connections of Central New Mexico will accept applicants for SummerWorks! a 10 to 12 week program offering up to 300 hours of work at roughly 30 hours weekly for ages 17 to 22. Participants may earn an extra 50 to 75 dollars after earning a GED or diploma with supportive services including child care and transportation.

Christina Tucker, a 30 year old Eagle Ridge Middle School seventh grade science teacher, learned last year she has a dangerous genetic heart condition requiring a transplant.
