Newboard Sworn In as Montafio Seeks Open Budget Session

Parra was sworn in by Judge McDonald on the district board and Montafio had himself sworn in by Magistrate Judge Christian Montafio. Superintendent Cleveland noted a tradition of sworn-ins, while Montafio urged openness and a public work session on the budget before the March 23 workshop and meeting. Don Schlichte was elected president with Catherine Cullen as vice president and Martha Janssen as secretary. The district may move to a new board room on the same lot for the March 23 session.
