Corrales deputy charged with petty larceny in jacket theft
Bernalillo County Sheriff Joe Wilson reports Corrales Deputy Marshall Ben G. Torres and Deputy Garcia have been charged with petty larceny over a December incident. They allegedly took a $60 jacket from a person arrested in Bernalillo County. Both pleaded innocent before Magistrate Judge James Toole and were released on their own recognizance.

Horizon Hut opens to serve Paradise Hills teens
Paradise Hills residents and Horizon Corporation opened The Horizon Hut a winter teen center west of the Paradise Hills County Club pool. The facility offers two pool tables, a ping pong table, two pinball machines, snack machines, and a refrigerator with a part time director Bill Gracey. Board members Janice Billings Kathy Davis Scott Yarber Benny Allen lead operations with a dues of 25 cents monthly and a $1 joining fee. Hours run fall to spring with varied weekly times and guest limits.

Sandoval County mulls funding for Cochiti access road
The Sandoval County Commission voted to ask the New Mexico congressional delegation for federal funds to build a temporary 3.25 mile access road from Cochiti Pueblo area to I-25 near La Bajada Hill. Estimated $220,000. permanent route about $1.2 million. Jurisdiction questions center on U S Forest Service land and Santo Domingo Pueblo concerns.
