Record Turnout Expected For Durante-Robertson Golf Benefit

A large field of celebrities professionals and amateurs will tee off Saturday in the Second Annual Jimmy Durante Dale Robertson Rio Rancho Classic for St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Therapy Unit. The 36 hole event ends Sunday with a gala Awards Affair and gallery tickets sell at local stores banks pro shops hospitals and gates. Proceeds fund new equipment for the hospital unit. Over 50 celebrities from entertainment and sports are signed up.

All Golf Proceeds To Aid Cancer Unit

The Jimmy Durante Dale Robertson Rio Rancho Classic Golf Tournament supports the Cancer Therapy Program at St. Joseph Hospital. Proceeds from the two day event go to the hospital to aid its cobalt therapy unit as it expands with plans for a linear accelerator to treat more patients efficiently.

Crafts Fair Begins Today in New Mexico

The 1973 New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair opens at the State Fairgrounds with over 200 artists displaying leatherwork sculpture jewelry ceramic wondcr art and photography.
