Meador resigns as Jemez superintendent
Jemez Valley Public Schools Superintendent O Adrian Meador announced his resignation at a board meeting. The resignation is effective July 31, with Meador using accrued vacation in July and planning to remain involved. Meador, 54, will pursue a return to teaching in Texas, citing family ties and a belief a person should not stay too long in one district. Board members expressed concern about unfinished budget work and stalled district plans, including a revised Rio Rancho middle school plan that was debated before the resignation. Architect Bill Fanning outlined temporary portable classrooms and a future core site, with a schedule risk if plans delay further.
