West Area Advisory Council elects officers for 1989 90
The West Area Citizens Advisory Council has elected officers for the 1989 90 term. Chairperson Bill Wooten represents Puesta del Sol Elementary School, Vice Chairperson Roy Soto represents Corrales Elementary School, and Secretary Kathy Mirabal represents Chaparral Elementary School. The council reports to the Albuquerque Public School Board of Education on West Side Schools. Meeting dates have not yet been announced.

DPS seeks burglary suspects for Radio Shack theft
DPS seeks two Rio Rancho residents linked to a May 29 burglary at Radio Shack on Southern Boulevard Big Rancho. Officers spotted suspects loading items into a car, they fled, a high speed chase followed, eight video recorders valued at 3439 dollars were recovered from the trunk, damages to the VCRs and store totaled about 2200 dollars. One suspect identified, second awaiting positive ID. pursuit ended with a vehicle stop on a soft shoulder. Authorities expect an arrest by week’s end.
