Mixing Bowl incubator fuels New Mexico culinary growth
The Mixing Bowl at Albuquerque's South Valley Economic Development Center uses a 3500 square foot shared kitchen to incubate food startups. Over 60 small businesses share the facility, with 200 potential entrepreneurs per year. External ties to Whole Foods and others accelerate time to market to six months. The program aims to expand to rural areas, linking kitchens to USDA Rural Development funds and local foundations.
