Former Rio Rancho City Councilor Steve Shaw, 52, who retired as deputy chief of the Rio Rancho Police Department in 2006, pursues law enforcement teaching and enjoys time with family. He reported selling his emails to successor Mark Scott and leaving city meetings, while keeping city ties and observing council dynamics. Shaw floated a future run for Sandoval County sheriff but not soon, as wife Judy plans retirement in 2013 and travel while he continues teaching.
