Rio Rancho considers penalties for delinquent water bills
Rio Rancho city council debates a proposed change by the Utilities Department to add a 10 percent late fee and a 1.5 percent monthly delinquency charge on past due water and sewer bills. A $50 reconnect fee would apply after shutdown, with new customers paying a $25 service fee and a $100 deposit.
