Free summer concerts at Haynes Park Rio Rancho

Rio Rancho Parks and Recreation invites residents to Sunday night free music at Haynes Park Rotary Club Barbecue Pavilion through August. The Hit Squad opens tonight with subsequent acts including Recurve, Darry Dominguez Band, Rudy Boy Experiment, Roger Jameson & Jaded Heart Band, High Desert Bio Band, and Rio Rancho Symphonic Band.

The Bomb on KNME TV July 28 Commemorates Atomic Era

Premiering on KNME-TV New Mexico PBS the program marks 70 years since the atomic bomb detonation. It presents restored and recently declassified footage from Los Alamos and early tests, exploring development, global impact, and the ongoing societal choices in living with nuclear power.

UFC viewing party set for Rousey Correia title fight in Santa Ana

A Dorothy Dunn watercolor collection from the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture reopens at Coronado Historic Site after renovations. Placitas Center hosts painting exhibit and class works

The Placitas Community Center opens a painting exhibit from August 1 to August 27 inviting public viewing. A reception for the artists is set for Sunday August 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. Elaine Slusher teaches the weekly class. participants include Rosemary Harris, Gene Anderson, Cissy Casaus, John McClendon, Adele Stuhlmann, Kathryn Erdman, Elizabeth Bogard, Brenda McSwain, and Valerie Tomberlin at Placitas Library located 453 NM 165, five miles east of I-25.

Xeric Garden Club Hosts Free Garden Tour at Albuquerque Center

The Xeric Garden Club offers a free guided tour of its certified wildlife habitat garden at Albuquerque Garden Center on 10120 Lomas Blvd NE.
