Harris Withdraws from State House Race in Family Plea
Tonia Harris, a former Rio Rancho elementary teacher and GOP candidate in State House District 60, withdrew citing a request from her 1 year old daughter Ally and the need to support her family after a year of hardship. Sandoval County Sheriff Joe Harris, Ally’s father, was killed in July during a cabin shootout near La Cueva. Christmann said the party will choose a replacement candidate to face Democrat Jack Thomas.
