City pays Star Center to cover Star Center shortfall
Rio Rancho Governing Body members agreed to pay the Santa Ana Star Center 112 322 dollars to cover the facility shortfall for the fiscal year ending Saturday. The city council approved the payment at last week’s meeting under its contract with the Star Center. Shortfall factors include concerts by Chicago and Trans Siberian Orchestra underperforming and Ringling Bros. circus rejection due to animal welfare rules. Gunnar Fox of Global Spectrum, the Star Center manager, cited these issues and other factors.
