Rio Rancho Plans Full Fourth of July Festivities
A full day of events kicks off with a 10 a.m. Fourth of July Parade and bicycle decorating contest along City Center routes. Bike registration begins at 9 a.m. in front of City Hall with prizes across three age groups. The Pork & Brew BBQ State Championship runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Star Center. A 11:30 a.m. ceremony by the Rio Rancho Veterans Monument Organization honors Independence Day at Veterans Monument Park. Fireworks and live music light up Lom Park at 6 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Admission is free with $5 parking supporting the high school booster club. Officials caution weather could alter times.
