Rio Rancho Planning and Zoning Commission schedules Feb 3 special session at 7 p m in City Hall to seek public input on revisions to the city sign code. The meeting follows a summary report on proposed changes and pleas from Time Square Plaza tenants for relief, while action on a Sabana Grande retirement facility by Merit Southwest Development is tabled.
A new promotional brochure to recruit businesses in Rio Rancho was unveiled by James A. Kniger, chairman of the Economic Development Committee of the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce. The brochure, titled They Found It In Rio Rancho, is available at the Chamber offices in City Hall. Special recognition was given to J.C. Penney Company, United New Mexico Bank at Rio Rancho, and Public, each receiving framed copies.
In an interview with The Observer, Sandoval County Manager Pat Baca outlines six month budget reviews starting in April 1987, aims to refine department spending, and invites elected officials to propose needs for the 1987-88 fiscal year while noting no specific increases or decreases yet.
