Diabetes safe meals class offered in Bernalillo
Sandoval County Cooperative Extension Service will host a 12 hour four session program titled Kitchen Creations for diabetics starting March 18 at 711 Camino del Pueblo Bernalillo. The free class runs Wednesdays 2 5 p.m. for diagnosed diabetics who must attend all sessions. Instructors Nicole Lujan and Ruth Baldwin lead cooking and meal planning with two cookbooks provided. Shaw becomes NM House sergeant-at-arms in 60 day cycled term

Bearce reaches top level of executive fire leadership training
Rio Rancho Fire Rescue has two executives with executive fire officer certification. Deputy Fire Chief Paul Bearce completed the four year master’s level program, calling it the pinnacle of leadership.
