Intel predicts further growth at Rio Rancho plant
Intel Rio Rancho plant employs about 1,300, with Fab 7 producing EPROMs since 1983 and Fab 9's first module opened last year. Splinter notes continued expansion planned in Fab units by end of 1989, with 180 acres owned and room to grow. Intel stresses safety and a stable manufacturing commitment.
