The New Mexico Employment Security Commission announced an extension of the Supplemental Unemployment Assistance program. Claims may be filed until December 31, 1977, with benefits payable through the week ending June 24, 1978. The extension bases benefits on earnings from the first four of the five most recent calendar quarters.

UNM to Offer Two Courses at Cibola High School
The University of New Mexico Division of Continuing Education will offer Woodworking and Beginning Conversational Spanish at Cibola High School next spring. Woodworking runs Thursdays 6:30 to 9:30 pm January 27 through March 24 with a $45 fee, limited to 25 students, no experience required, all equipment provided. Beginning Spanish meets Mondays 7 to 4 pm January 24 through May 2 for a $40 fee, using a conversational approach while teaching basic grammar.

Grandinetti closes Rio Rancho plant consolidates in California
Grandinetti Products Inc has shut its Rio Rancho factory as it files to consolidate manufacturing in California. The idle facility prompts efforts to attract a new tenant while AIDS-IFA holds an option to buy.
