New Mexico Badminton Star Wins Senior Lifetime Award
Dan Castilleja, longtime figure in New Mexico badminton, receives the 2015 Senior Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Mexico Senior Sports Association. He cofounded the state senior program, coached at Menaul School, and helped grow the sport from a small Albuquerque start to about 100 serious players. Castilleja, now 50, has competed nationally since youth, played in UCLA’s era, and travels for competitions and exhibitions worldwide.
