Rio Rancho Education Summit Explores Workforce Skills

The Rio Rancho Public Schools summit drew parents employers and officials for a day of talks on education planning workforce and state policy. Intel and local firms highlighted needs for math science communication and two-year degrees while educators discussed best practices and community input.

Midholiday shop night in Rio Rancho draws crowds

Rio Rancho stores will stay open until 9 p.m. on Thursday December 15 as the Chamber of Commerce hosts a late shopping event. Santa will greet children at the Chamber office 1463 Rio Rancho Blvd from 6 to 8 p.m. and glowing balloons light the route along Rio Rancho Boulevard plus a shop and glow mini event between Southern and Sara Road. Shoppers who bring 50 in receipts to the Chamber during December 12–16 receive a Rio Rancho license plate or a petroglyph mug. post office on Pinetree Road hosts an open house with refreshments.
