Rio Rancho Winterfest 2015 Parade and Ice Skating Event

Rio Rancho Winterfest 2015 features a parade at the Star Center and City Center with a 5 15 p m start time through the area. Ice skating will run noon to 5 p m with helmeted beginners welcome. Santa Claus will pose for photos at the Star Center. About 50 floats are registered as of Friday with a $15 parade fee due by Monday.

Public meeting on Unit 10 plan set for Thursday

Rio Rancho Development Services invites input at a 6 to 8 p.m. meeting at City Hall 3200 Civic Center Circle to discuss the Unit 10 Specific Area Plan. Presbyterian Rust Medical Center Opens Sixth Floor Tower

Transfers began Wednesday as the six story second tower opens to a few patients. The second floor is in use while the third floor awaits touchups and the fourth floor is planned for March. TheTed and Margaret Jorgensen Cancer Center on the first floor is slated to open Jan. 5, delaying Dec. 15 date.
