County to address prisoner indigent fund problem
Sandoval County Commission will study steps to create an indigent fund for prisoners with mental problems. Jail administrator Ron Lucero said Bernalillo County will no longer accept such inmates. evaluations and assessments will cost Sandoval about 150 dollars per prisoner. The commission will seek a viable program and cost estimates, while a local hospital or clinic is sought.
