Man Finds 13 Canine Skulls in West Mesa
A Rio Rancho resident discovered 13 decomposing canine skulls near a tree on West Mesa July 29 while walking dogs off leash outside city limits. Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office investigators found no tracks or evidence to explain whether it was illegal dumping or coyotes scavenging. The case remains unknown.

Leon Grande roadwork to begin on acity avenue project
Leon Grande Avenue will undergo street construction from NM 528 to Villa Verde Drive from August 13 to late October.
