Stepnowski hearing rescheduled amid child exploitation case

Preliminary hearing for Robert and Ruthann Stepnowski, plus Linda Connick, was moved to next Thursday May 7 in district court. They face charges of contributing to the delinquency of minors by filming two girls in adult scenes, with additions of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance possession. Police seized videotaping, lighting gear, cameras, films, and firearms from the Stepnowskis’ home at 207 Summer Winds. The couple’s Rosewood Funeral Home and Vamp Ltd ties are noted as context. The state plans a separate license hearing for the funeral home next month after residents’ complaints to the Thanatopractice Board. The minors involved are Stepnowskis’ six-year-old son and Connick’s seven-year-old daughter.
