Rio Rancho reorganizes city departments and hires city attorney
The Rio Rancho city council approved a second reorganization, dissolving the community services department and restoring separate departments for the library Meadowlark Senior Center and parks and recreation. Mayor Grover Nash announced Gloria Crane as city attorney, a new post to report May 18. Pacelli abstained, saying he had no prior information. The new structure places the council and mayor at the top with the city clerk and attorney reporting directly to the mayor and city administrator Bill Snell.

The event features 25 elephants, 200 animals, performers from 17 nations, and a large traveling operation with 44 transport vehicles.
