University of Albuquerque trustees raise tuition and report on accreditation

The University of Albuquerque Board of Trustees voted to raise tuition from 52 to 55 dollars per credit hour, a 6 percent rise to offset inflation for 1977-78. A $3 credit hour increase adds about $167 in revenue next year, effective fall 1977. summer session unaffected. The panel also reviewed accreditation results, with a Five-year plan expected, while noting strengths in leadership and various divisions and weaknesses in library use and staffing. Students will vote on the tuition change, with Student Body President Ray Herrera dissenting.
