Corrales Forms Independent Fire District 5
Corrales Village Council creates Corrales Independent Fire District to serve unincorporated areas, donates a 1953 Ford fire unit, and allows use of 40 feet of land beside the village station. The move follows Senate Bill 197 enabling overlapping districts with separate funding and governance. Mutual aid with Paradise Hills, Rio Rancho, and Alameda will remain, with final approval by the State Attorney General and State Board of Finance.
