City to teach free tree stewardship in May
The City of Rio Rancho offers a three day training for volunteers to become tree stewards. Training at UNM West May 9 and May 16 23 with arborists guiding up to 25 trainees age 18 plus. Volunteers form teams to care for trees, monitor parks, assist planting and pruning, report vandalism and water issues, with a year long commitment. Call 896-8389 to register.
