Community Calendar shows April events and meetings

Secretaries sponsor seminar in Albuquerque area

The Albuquerque Chapter of Professional Secretaries International hosts its annual seminar The Power of Humor in the Workplace on April 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 45 p.m at Holiday Inn Midtown with multiple community events listed nearby including a Rio Rancho proclamation by Mayor Grover Nash and a series of local gatherings and activities at libraries centers and clubs.

Spaghetti Dinner and Dance by Rio Rancho Legion Post 118

The American Legion Post 118 Rio Rancho sponsors a spaghetti dinner and dance this Saturday April 22 at 6 pm. A $5 donation covers dinner with tossed salad garlic bread and wine. Proceeds benefit the post children and youth programs. Reservations by April 20 for tables of eight or more. Also Spring Teen Dance April 21 7 10 pm at city auditorium admission $2.50 music by Jo Jo Pineau with dance and limbo contests.

Support group meeting schedule across Albuquerque area

A list of weekly support group meetings includes Al Anon at Paradise Hills Methodist Church Wednesdays 5 30 pm and Alcoholics Anonymous at Corrales Community Center 6 pm. Also TOPS at Ideal Lanes 6 30 pm and a women’s psychotherapy group at Jagat Health Foundation 1117 Rio Rancho Dr 7 30 pm. Additional groups meet at St Thomas Aquinas Church St Johns Methodist Church Bear Canyon Senior Center St Joseph West Mesa All Saints Lutheran Church Paradise Hills United Methodist Church and other sites with varying times from 3 30 pm to 7 30 pm and monthly or third Sunday repetitions.
