Union county teachers gathered at Marysville High School for the annual institute with nearly full attendance. W. E. Beeman, Richwood superintendent and institute president, opened the program as Rev. J. C. McCoy led devotional services. Prof. Freeman spoke on the value of poetry. a committee to seek a new educational building for the fairgrounds was approved. Beeman and Miss Anna Jones were re elected president and secretary.

Miss Gladys Bown and William Harold Winter of Richwood married Monday at Belle Center. The bride, organist at Richwood’s Presbyterian church, is daughter of Dr. S. J. Bown and a 1920 Richwood High graduate who studied music at Delaware and Bowling Green. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Winter, is a junior member of Winter and Son Furniture. They left for a northern Ohio Michigan honeymoon and will return to Richwood by October 1 to reside.

Mildred Doren Dies of Typhoid Fever
Miss Mildred Doren aged 15 died at Marion City hospital Saturday from typhoid fever. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 30 am at Richwood Church of Christ conducted by Rev. James Siders. She was born January 18 1910 in Richwood and moved to Marion with her parents. Survived by her father one sister Minnie and a half brother James Guthrey.

Two Automobiles Crash at Local Intersection
Two cars a Buick and a Ford collided at the intersection of Tawa road and Franklin street Sunday night around eight. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage but no injuries were reported and owners were not identified.

Social Events Highlight Dorcas Class and Local Clubs
Dorcas Baptist class met with Mrs J W Good for an evening of devotion and refreshments. The Fields relatives held their second reunion at Richwood fairground on September 12 with talks by Rev Harry Fields and Rev Rice, a program by Ivaloo, Kenneth, and Clara, and ice cream. Officers were elected, and plans set for a 1926 reunion. Various church groups including the Presbyterian Home and Foreign Missionary society and M P Woman's society held meetings and socials at neighbor homes. A J club, Rebekah lodge, and Baptist Philathea class also met with programs, refreshments, and small entertainments. A birthday party honored Harriett Whitehead with games and cake, and a musical tea featured Miss Ruth Basden’s pupils at the Brooks home.

North Lewisburg Youth Fatally Struck by Erie Train
Cecil Koons 19, son of Mr and Mrs Edward Koons of North Lewisburg, was killed near Ashland after stepping onto the Erie line to escape a fast approaching train. A North Lewisburg High School graduate last year he worked on a bridge gang and was killed when he moved into an oncoming engine between two tracks.

Wife Granted Divorce in Common Pleas Court
Judge Porter awarded Mrs Clara Forider of Jackson township a divorce from Thomas Forider after she alleged extreme cruelty and neglect of duty. Four witnesses testified she was forced to perform most farm work. She received $600 alimony per attorney agreement.

Nineteen Hogs Perish In Big Barn Fire
Fire swept a 40 by 32 foot barn on the William Harris farm on the Bellefontaine road southwest of Richwood destroying a shed as well. Nineteen hogs were killed and loss is put at 2500 dollars with only 800 dollars insured. E E Converse reported no explanation for the cause and the flames reached headway too fast to save the barn.

Milford White Dies After Operation at Jane Case Hospital
Milford White aged 30 died at Jane Case hospital Delaware Tuesday after an operation for appendicitis. He was born June 14, 1895 and had lived in Richwood before moving with his family to the C. J. Moore farm northwest of Richwood. Surviving are his widow, one son Paul, his mother, one brother Ray White Urbana, and two sisters Mrs Elmer Blue Marion and Mrs Marion Heenan Richwood. Funeral at Essex M P church Thursday 2:30 pm. Burial at Price cemetery under Lloyd Winter.

Two Arrested On Liquor Charge in Ohio County
Leroy Strong of Union township and Clark Heath of Delaware were arraigned on possessing intoxicating liquor, each bond 600 dollars set by Judge E W Porter after an early morning arrest by Sheriff Hager and Officer Pfarr. A 15 gallon keg was found in the ditch on the run ning board of the car after a pursuit during which two tires were shot out.
