Bandit Gang Smashes North Leurg Bank Steals 3500
A six or more bandits blew open the North Leurg bank early Monday, took 3500 in cash, wrecked the building, and fired on onlookers. Guns included shotguns and .45 revolvers, with a bloodstained hand car used in escape. Sheriff Bosler reported one injury among bandits.

Much Feeding Stock Bought by Farmers
Farmers near Richwood are buying many sheep and steers at present. Saturday alone nine decks of Texas sheep and four carloads of feeding steers were distributed from the local stock yards. Last week Walter Davis shipped 141 hogs averaging 325 pounds at 12 cents per pound, one of the finest loads of pork shipped from Richwood for some time.

Lloyd Patrick 34 longtime superintendent of the Union County Children's Home died last Wednesday after a 13 week typhoid illness. Born December 18 1891 in Taylor township he married Ruth Doner in 1911 and leaves two daughters Lucille 11 and Dorothy 8, his father three sisters and a brother who died in infancy. Funeral services were held at the Children's Home and he was buried at Oakdale cemetery Marysville.
