One hundred forty one plates were laid at Richwood High School alumni banquet in the Masonic building dining room Friday night. Olive Sinkey and Prof. W. E. Beeman spoke. musical numbers included quartette by Anna Jones Naomi Glass meyer Lucille Smith Opal Calhoun and others. Taylor Robinson Dies in Cleveland Hospital
Mrs Bella Boggs received word Sunday of the death of her cousin Taylor Robinson of Cleveland in Jane Case hospital Delaware. Former resident of this place he and his wife Grace Berkowitz had lived in Cleveland for years. Funeral was held in Cleveland Wednesday afternoon.

Richwood fair board to raise premiums for show animals
At a May 14 meeting the Richwood fair board decided to raise all premiums on show animals. They plan larger pig and calf club exhibits and urge youngsters to prepare creditable entries. The poultry exhibit will be developed to be the best ever held.

Ruth Connell widow of Dr R D Connell died Friday morning May 15 at her home in Columbus after pneumonia and complications. Survived by daughter Laura J Connell a Columbus teacher. Funeral services were held at home and remains taken to Richwood for burial beside her husband in Claiborne cemetery.

Oldest Richwood native dies after long illness
William Carroll Hastings born August 29 1844 in Richwood died last Wednesday night at 11 45 after a long illness. He enlisted in 1864 in the 138th Illinois Volunteer Infantry and later worked with T J Williams. Surviving are wife Cynthia Lenox two daughters Missea Mary and Anna Hastings and sister Mrs B A Cowen of Chicago. Funeral held at home Saturday by Rev Gowdy with burial at Claiborne cemetery. Two Tanners Indicted In Richwood Case
William Skimmer Tanner of Richwood indicted for resisting an officer and arraigned with a $500 bond signed by John Tanner and Samuel Jolliff. He has been jailed since March 17. Harry Tanner, also of Richwood and a cousin, indicted for selling Samuel McElroy's car on April 12, arraigned, pleaded not guilty, and posted a $1,000 bond after initial jail detainer.

William L. Mapes, 66, formerly of Richwood, died Monday at his Marion home after ten weeks with pernicious anemia. He directed the Marion Wagon Works before illness and is survived by his widow and sister Mrs. Junior Dusang of LaRue. Burial took place in LaRue.
