Telephone Co. seeks new rates to cover upkeep costs
The Ohio Associated Telephone Company filed with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for a system wide rate rise. President C E Williams cites 1950 costs up about 20 percent and a need to attract investment for ongoing expansion and service improvements. The proposal would raise monthly revenues by 86 dollars per month overall 19.7 percent and target 6 percent return, applying to Richwood Prospect and LaRue exchanges with specific per party and rural rates and adjustments for extension lines and installation charges.
