Pomona Grange Holds Meeting Plans County Fairs

A Richwood man, Donald Kinikin, was placed on two years probation after pleading guilty to failure to provide for minor children. Judge F LeRoy Allen ordered $25 weekly for child support plus $5 weekly for arrearage, based on a grand jury indictment from his former wife Dorothy Kinikin Patterson.

Dean Lindsay and his father found a weather instrument known as a Radiosondi attached to a balloon from a Day ton Weather Bureau Station. It transmitted air data during ascent and burst at about 16 miles altitude, landing with a bright parachute. The instrument was directed to Joliet Illinois for return, but the boy keeps the burst balloon and parachute.
