The Rich Watts plant known as Rich Wood Barking Company plans a fresh coat of ph coat paint on one of its oldest brick structures. The building, long unpainted, sits near the stair area and is noted for its historic character.
Charles Demorest, 38, a farmer, and his five year old son Floyd died when their automobile was struck by a northbound Pennsylvania passenger train Sunday evening at a grade crossing three miles south of Delaware. A second son, Charles, 14, was believed dying. The crash occurred in sight of their home.
Miss Cora Ford of Broadway and Mr. William A Miller of Richwood wed Friday in Marysville with Justice J. C. Hartshorn officiating. The bride is known in Richwood area. The groom works as a trackman for the Erie railroad. They started housekeeping in a furniture furnished home on West Ottawa Street.
Mrs. F. A. Martin entertained the Home and Foreign Missionary Society of the Presbyterian church last Wednesday afternoon at her West Bomford Street home. Mrs. Martin led devotion, Mrs. Wright spoke on Cuba and Porto Rico, and Mrs. King discussed the Philippines. A luncheon followed with a social hour.
On July first the Lenox elevators at Richwood Woodland and Claiborne will pass into control of The Farmers' Elevator Company of Richwood a recently organized corporation. Henry Hexworth is president R B Ross vice president W D Harmon secretary treasurer form the officers. R W Lenox acts as general manager and managers Grant Waters and Vern Hewison are assigned to Woodland and Claiborne respectively.
Mrs. Blanche Bown and Mr. Joseph Livingston of Columbus were married Saturday in Columbus by Rev. Harris of the Fifth Avenue United Brethren Church. They will reside in Columbus.
The Lima convention of the G A R and W R C drew large crowds with over 20 000 cheering a monster parade. Mae Sanders of Richwood was elected press correspondent for the Ohio W R C while Laura Cherry of Mansfield led as department president and Frances VanHorn of Lima as senior vice.

A church notice invites participation for Sunday school at 9 45 and the preaching service at 10 45. No prayer meeting this week due to the Sunday school and the Delaware rally for youths on Wednesday and Thursday led by Pastor H C Gillespie.
The First Church of Christ announces a Bible school time change to 9 30 a m with preaching at 10 30 a m Midweek service moves to Thursday at 8 30 p m and Sunday evening union services are planned The pastor J E Hawes extends a hearty welcome to all services.

Kensuke Ozaki two year old son of Rev K Ozaki of Oakland California fell from a second floor window while breaking away from a nurse at the Columbus Y M C A. He died in hospital later from a fractured skull. He had accompanied his father to Columbus for the funeral of Ron Genki with the body, due for service Tuesday at nine o clock.
Miss Anna Glassmeyer and Herman A. Longshore of Columbus were married at 4 30 p m Thursday by Rev Corlies P Hargrove at Indianola M E church. The bride daughter of Mrs Elizabeth Glassmeyer of Richwood resided here with her mother. She later moved to Columbus where she has been a successful trained nurse. The groom a noted Columbus businessman and vice president of the Climax Rubber company. They will reside in Columbus.
The J. F. Murphy Shows present Captain Ellwood Roy Davis, America's youngest lion trainer, who enters the steel cage for a hand to hand contest with a Black Mane African lion. The beast has already defeated two trainers in eight weeks.
Julius Barnes announced President Wilson signed a proclamation that puts under license all persons firms and corporations dealing in wheat flour or baking products made wholly or partly from wheat flour with exemptions for farmers and small bakers. The proclamation effective July 15 covers storing distributing or manufacturing of wheat flour and bread or other baked goods. Exemptions include bakers and manufacturers using less than 50 barrels of flour monthly and retailers and farmer cooperatives supplying farm products.
H. S. Riddle of the Ohio Board of Administration clashes with Secretary of State Smith over who should produce 1920 auto license tags. Smith cites legal must for competitive bids. bids range from 11 to 18 cents per pair. Tags were made at the Ohio Pen last year after $20 000 machinery was installed. Riddle argues outside firms bid low to force the state out of tag business, and proposes prices could rise if the Pen plant is dismantled.
Mueller foreign minister of Bauer cabinet will head the Austrian peace delegation to conclude the treaty swiftly. The expected signing occurs late Friday with key diplomats present to finalize terms.
Von Heimhausen submits resignation and delegation heads to Versailles to affix Germany’s signature to the peace terms. Bauer’s new cabinet protests the terms as burdensome while the Italian delegation arrives to join the conference discussions on Austria Turkey and Armenia. Belgium has allocated 2.5 billion francs in reparations.
State Fire Marshal T Alfred Fleming re issued fireworks rules for July 4. Explosives are banned with only small Chinese fire crackers and sparklers allowed under supervision and 25 feet from buildings. Fleming says no celebration with explosives and funds saved can help pay war debt.
