Sheep Claim Decline Noted as Dog Warden Acts
Homer Dodge the Richwood dog warden reported only one sheep claim in the second week of June and none last week. In two weeks he destroyed 27 dogs and urged dog owners to notify him if they wish to dispose of their dogs or skip licenses. He will also pick up stray dogs if notified.

Pythian Sisters Receive High Grade at Meeting

WPA to Shut Down 43 Small County Setups in Ohio

Mrs Bowdry Died From Broken Hip Near Richwood
Mrs Mae Bowdry 65 died Sunday evening at her home ten miles southeast of Richwood near Springdale from complications after a broken hip three months earlier. Survived by brother Charles Smith of Prospect. Rev Blof McKinnon led funeral Tuesday at 2 PM at Winter & Son chapel. Burial in Mt Herman cemetery near Marysville.

Mrs Anna May Turner 78 died Friday June 18 at 1 30 pm at her home in Byhalia after two years of organic heart trouble. She was born February 23 1859 in Franklin county daughter of Lewis and Mary Baker and widow of William Turner who died 1937. Survived by two sons Lewis Elwin Turner Marysville and Delmer W Turner Byhalia, one granddaughter and a great granddaughter, plus brothers Albert Baker Dayton Miss Ella Baker and sisters Mrs L J Temple and Andrew Baker of Byhalia. Funeral Sunday at 2 pm at her home conducted by Rev H T Green with burial in Byhalia cemetery under S R Sanders.

A severe cloudburst drenched Richwood and nearby areas in central Ohio with 7.45 inches of rain at Bucyrus. High winds and a lightning storm caused bridges to wash out and roads to flood. Crops, livestock, gardens, and the newly built sewage plant suffered damage as basements flooded and fields inundated. Tuesday cleared but cooler after the heavy downpour.
