Mrs Mary Daisy Koch died at 10 10 last Thursday night at her home on south Franklin street after a six weeks illness. Born November 5 1866 in Richwood she was a member of Richwood Methodist Church. Surviving are John W Koch husband a daughter Mrs Sam Kennedy Allison Park Pa a son Ben Koch Richwood a grandson John Kennedy Allison Park Pa a sister Mrs William Goff Marysville and a brother J Fred Wood Richwood. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 pm at the Koch home with Rev B F McKinnon conducting. Interment followed at Claibourne Cemetery by Lloyd Winter & Son.

Jesse S. Kagay of Marysville aged 65 died in his sleep from heart ailment after years of declining health. He formerly lived in Richwood for 25 years where he also worked in real estate. Richwood Pupils Win Honors in State Contest
Richwood high school students earned top marks at the Vocational Agricultural judging contest held at Ohio State University June 2 and 3. Robert Fox tied for 10th in mutton lambs and fine wool sheep with 197.5 points of 200. Earl Bumgarner achieved a perfect 100 in dairy cattle judging as part of the general livestock team ranked 53 among 285 schools. Over 8000 farm boys participated in the event during the state Future Farmers of America convention, with Richwood representatives listed including Vernon Cowgill Frank Lane George Kersey Richard Ross Robert Fox Edwin Wood Earl Bumgarner and Donald Johnston under instructor R H Sturgeon.

Word reached Richwood of the death of F. F. Fisher at his daughter Mrs Bundy’s home in Modoc Indiana. He died early Monday following typhoid fever. He was brother of Mrs Gertrude Fisher of Richwood. Funeral services were held at Bundy home Wednesday at 1 pm with burial in Modoc cemetery.
