Richwood C C C Youths Return from Forest Fire Work
Robert Osmond of Richwood, who joined the C C C on June 1, 1933, is due home July 8 after 13 months in camp life. He describes a large forest fire near the camp in which he and 19 others volunteered, riding 60 miles and hiking 30 to reach the blaze and spending eight days fighting it. He had a six day layoff and visited Howard Dickason, a fellow Richwood boy in Yellowstone Park. Dickason reports California heat, then Wyoming cold with snow.

Death of H. A. Bigley 77 McGuffey resident
Richwood relatives and friends were notified of H. A. Bigley’s death at 77 of McGuffey who died Thursday June 14 after a sudden heart attack. Former Jackson township resident, he is survived by his wife Lucetta Koffroth and one daughter. Funeral services were held in McGuffey and burial followed at the McGuffey cemetery.
