The thirteenth annual lawn poultry show at Richwood fair grounds drew visitors from several states including Florida. Nine hundred thirty-one birds were entered. Grand Champion trophy went to H. Arizona paper recalls Rev. F. E. Hawes once led a dare devil show career from Huntington to the Midwest. He and his wife Ida Bailey later embraced the Baptist faith, with pastorates in Mesa Miami Glendale and Fullerton. The couple marked their 50th anniversary and Hawes now serves as interim pastor.
