Earl McMahan of 262 South Franklin Street Richwood marks his 91st birthday June 21 1884 birth year noted 91 candles. He maintains his home cooks cleans mows rides a three wheeler bike attends euchre at Civic Center follows harness racing and reflects on staying busy as peers pass on. He and wife Minnie raised ten children 27 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Birthday party last Friday with grandson Buddy McMahan also celebrating.

A new state law takes effect July 1 allowing drivers to stop and turn right on red at all intersections with traffic signals unless warned by village signs. Winchwood officials currently have no plans to post prohibitions, but signs could be added later if incidents occur.

July 4th Harness Racing Planned in Marysville
The American Legion Post 79 and Union County Fair Board plan a twilight harness racing program at the Union County Fairgrounds on July 4 starting at 6 p.m. The event, attracting 50 to 75 horses, ends with a fireworks display after dark.
