Joseph Perkins Brooks born May 29 1831 in Licking County Ohio died June 12 1916 at his grandson J P Brooks home Richwood aged 85 years 13 days Funeral held June 14 at 9 30 am conducted by Rev N J Kinney. Burial in Claiborne cemetery beside wife. He served in Co B 76 O V I from 1861 to 1865.

Woman Dies After Hospital Operation Near Claiborne
Mrs. Mary L. Randall of Claiborne area was taken to Jane M. Case hospital in Delaware last week for tumor surgery. She died about 5 a.m. Monday after five months of ill health. survived by her husband, a granddaughter, and two sisters in Essex and Tiffin. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Randall home with Rev. Geo C. Foltz. burial in Maskill cemetery.

Ida May Beaver of Richwood files for divorce from A. Z. Beaver charging gross neglect of duty and habitual drunkenness. They married March 21, 1914, have a 16 month old son Harry Emanuel. She alleges lack of support and abuse including forcing her to lift logs and saw wood, seeks alimony and child custody, temporary restraining order granted to prevent disposal of about $600 in property.

The Woman's Home Missionary Society of the M. E. church met Wednesday with Mrs. E. J. Fissel hosting. Mrs O J Zeigler recovered at home in Richwood after doctors at Jane M Case Hospital removed her left index finger last week. The operation by Dr Willey followed years of finger trouble and a progression of tuberculosis to prevent further infection.

Pneumonia Dies William H Ford at 75 Near Broadway
William H Ford 75 died Saturday morning at five after a brief pneumonia illness at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H Thackery nr the Erie water tank northeast of Broadway. He leaves two daughters Mrs Thackery and Mrs Minnie Somerset plus sons William John Finley and Charley in the area. Funeral was Monday at 1 30 pm at the Thackery residence with Rev Manville of Delaware officiating and burial in Claiborne cemetery.

Lucky Runaway Team Crashes Car in Town Alley
