Sam Berke Dead Richwood merchant dies in Cleveland
Sam Berke a longtime Richwood clothing merchant died Monday noon at his son Mark Berke's home in Cleveland after seeking stomach treatment. He was 54 years old with a wife and children Leah Pasternak Mark Berke Taylor Robinson Jennie Sampliner and Wm Berke. Funeral services were held in Cleveland Wednesday at 2 pm with burial in a Hebrew cemetery.

Church Services Resume After Redecoration
Sunday services returned at the Christian church after weeks of closure for interior redecorating. Rev. E. E. Pedicord led the service with help from the congregation as the church became more inviting. The walls were repapered in terra cotta and green and all woodwork varnished.
