The Richwood Alumni Association held its fifteenth reunion at the Masonic Temple with over 200 guests. Mt. Carmel Chapter Eastern Star served a two course banquet while programs featured speeches by Gwynn Sanders Sewell Cameron and remarks on the senior class. music and dancing followed with many out of town attendees listed.

Richwood Resident Wallace Krouse Dies at 70
Wallace Krouse, 70, Richwood resident, died Friday at 7 AM at Smith Clinic in Marion after two months of carcinoma. Born April 6, 1861 to Ferdinand and Lari Krouse, he was a member of United Brethren church in Marion and Richwood I O O F lodge. Survived by wife Verna Messamore, children Amanda, Walter, Malinda, Edna, Pearl, and stepchildren Melvin Fivans and Troy Keltner, plus siblings and in‑laws. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Krouse home and United Brethren church, with interment in Marion Cemetery.

Newton Otto Bishop, 57, a former Richwood resident, died Sunday May 31 at his Marion home after a year and a half illness. Born October 1, 1873 in Union County, he married Edna Harmon on January 10, 1910. A Marion Steel Mills employee and World War I veteran, he was buried in Claiborne Cemetery after services in Marion and Richwood.
