Kenneth William Marvin Jr son of Mr and Mrs Kenneth Marvin 301 West Ottawa Street will receive the God and Country Award Sunday afternoon June 6 at 2 pm in Central Methodist Church. The program is church centered and run by the Protestant Committee on Scouting. Criss Somerset Wins State Discus Title at Ohio State
Criss Somerset, 18, captured first place in the State Track Meet discus at Ohio State University with a throw of 161 ft 10 in, surpassing the runner up at 157 feet. Local Man Arrested For Illegal Sales
Marion Wood, 61, operator of a service station on S Franklin Street, charged with selling illegal fireworks and liquor without a license. Arrested by Sheriff Ed Amrine, he reportedly confessed in writing and admitted selling cherry bombs. Amrine says Wood will appear in Municipal Court in Marysville this week. Whiskey sales carry up to a $500 fine, fireworks up to $100. Wood was released on a $125 bond.

A large crowd lined Richwood streets for the Memorial Day parade opening a three day weekend celebration.
