George B. Hamilton and family hosted a large gathering from Delaware last Saturday, with the entire Monnett Hall faculty among the guests. Dr. W. B. Duke removed a tape-worm from William Langstaff Jr. of the south town. the monster measured about twenty five feet. Charles McCurdy and family of Ashley visited R. Benedict over Sunday. Monday McCurdy was kicked in the face by a horse and left with scars but no serious injury. F. L. Winter and wife of Marion are visiting relatives, as Frank takes a month off from his job as an operator for the N. Y. P. railroad.

Aged Richwood Man Edward J Taylor Dies at 90
Edward James Taylor 90, longtime Richwood farmer, died at his daughter’s home on West Bomford Street at 2 30 a m Saturday after five weeks of age related illness. He was born January 16 1847 in Ohio and married Luetta Hamilton at Sherwood Ohio. Surviving children are P A Moehn W H Taylor Richwood R Taylor Marion Roy M Taylor Hollywood C D Sidle Jr and Mrs Frank White. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p m at Sanders Funeral Home with burial in Claiborne Cemetery.

Edward L. Alexander 72 retired Erie railroad engineer of Marion died Sunday after a two year cancer illness. He was brother of Mandass Alexander of Marion. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 4 PM at the Marion home. Burial followed at Forest Glen Memorial Park.

Fire Destroys Shed at Richwood Disposal Plant
A tool shed and its contents at the sewage disposal plant south of Richwood burned at about 2 30 Tuesday night. The blaze started when gasoline spilled on a lantern and exploded. The night watchman was transferring gasoline from a barrel to a bucket for the gasoline engine and spilled some on the lantern.

Auto accident injures youth near Richwood
Harvey Pierce twenty eight son of Mr and Mrs Pearl Pierce of west of Richwood was critically injured in a highway crash on Route 47 near the Harry Temple farm. He left the road at about 1 30 am, later found in a ditch at six o'clock, suffered a fractured right leg and brain concussion, and was treated at Marion City hospital before being moved home Tuesday afternoon.

Shirlee Kathleen Vance three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Herbert Vance of Richwood was fatally injured when struck by a Findlay driver A M Lee in front of her grandfather George Styer’s home. She died at 8 30 PM after being taken to Dr H C Duke’s office. Lee swerved to avoid the child but was not held by authorities. funeral services were held Saturday at Sanders Funeral Home. Shirlee was born April 18 1934 at Pharisburg and is survived by a 13 month old brother Hal Vance.
