Richwood OKs 39000 High School Bond Issue in Special Election
A special election held Tuesday by the Richwood Board of Education approved a 39000 bond issue to build and furnish a new high school. The measure carried 114 votes. South precinct 111 yes 73 no. North precinct 168 yes 92 no. Architect Paul E Cahill of Cleveland submitted a project sketch for board review. Contracting will follow legal notices and aims to have the building ready for occupancy by January, not the September start.

Brother Dies in Osborn Kansas Civil War Veteran
Hugh Kyle brother of Mrs. T J Williams of Richwood died at his Osborn Kansas home May 8 1915. Born April 16 1835 in Radnor township he served in the Civil War. Survived by widow Miss Samantha Anderson two sons two sisters Mrs D D Little Marion and Mrs Williams Richwood and brother W T Kyle Prospect. He moved with family to Kansas in 1874 and helped organize the Osborne Baptist church serving as deacon for forty years. He joined the Baptist church at Delaware at age twenty. Mrs Kyle is sister of Mrs Hugh Perry of Richwood.

Prominent Claiborne figure Lewis Cassiday died Sunday at his home after a long illness from cancer and Brights disease. Child Injured in Auto Collision on Franklin Street
The two year old son of Mr and Mrs Pearl Sloop was struck by a car driven by J F Blair while near Claiborne cemetery. The child crossed and darted back in front of the vehicle, suffering a broken right foot bone and bruising to the right limb. Dr L L Roebuck treated the youngster who is progressing as well as can be expected.

Mrs. Lewis G. Uhl of Richwood and sister of Grover and Ella Fields died Monday at 10 30 AM in Marion city hospital from blood poisoning after several months of illness. She would have turned 25 in July. Freeman Smith Dies in Marion Hospital After Illness
Freeman Smith or Richwood, son of Mrs Daniel Fausnaugh, died Tuesday at 4 PM in Marion county infirmary hospital. He was 26 and survived by a widow and two children. He was born in LaRue and raised there, later serving as a flood rescuer before injuries led to amputation and tuberculosis. The direct cause of death was double pneumonia. Surviving are his mother, two half brothers Cari and Ralph Fausnaugh, and sister Norma Fausnaugh of Richwood. Funeral at the Marion morgue at 2 PM with burial in Marion cemetery.
